coaching

helping you achieve your god-given dreams

While coaching and consulting may overlap at times,
they are really two different things.
Coaching is about listening and asking good questions.
Consulting is about bringing skills and tools
to evaluate, equip, and plan for improvement.

what is coaching?

Coaching is the conversation between a coach and coachee which helps the coachee become and do what they want to become and do.

How does coaching work?

You may have specific goals that you want to work on and realize you need someone else to help you process things and keep you accountable to your own plans.

coaching can stimulate visionand move people forward

Keith Webb gives the following description of what coaches do:
- Coaches don't talk, they listen
- Coaches don't give information, they ask questions
- Coaches don't offer ideas, they generate ideas from coachee's
- Coaches don't share their story, they tap into the coachee's experience
- Coaches don't present solutions, they expand the coachee's thinking
- Coaches don't give recommendations, they empower coachee's to choose
The Coach Model for Christian Leaders p. 15
A coach can help a coachee discern the correct vision for their life, and then help them plan strategic steps to work on towards success.
Coaching is not just for people who are in trouble or having difficulties... Coaching is really for those who are doing well and are ready for their next level of development or are ready to think about what's next for them.

Maybe you need help with building a good habit – daily time with God, journaling, reading more, exercise, etc.

Maybe you need coaching on how to work through a relationship problem.
Or determining how to use your gifts in greater measures.

Coaching can help you elevate your competency

A coach can help a coachee discern their gifting and calling for life, can help them determine skills they want to develop.
Even as athletic coaching can improve the game of those who play in sports, life coaching and executive coaching can improve the performance of pastors, performers, entrepreneurs,  and others whose functioning could be at higher levels of proficiency and competency.
